Item Description

Tiny, sparkling, classic orange-red color crystals of hexagonal Vanadinite with Calcite on matrix from this lesser known locale for the material. Both specimens feature decent micro crystals, but these are reference specimens for the most part. I would say that it's a must-have for any Arizona collector or a worldwide Vanadinite collector, as they are rarely seen on the market today. This set comes to us from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. You can read Willard's bio on the Mineralogical Record website here ( http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1528 ).
