Vanadinite is a well-known mineral, and without a doubt, the finest crystals of Vanadinite ever found are those from the Mibladen District in Morocco. Honestly, if it wasn't for the specimens from Mibladen, Vanadinite would be highly under-represented in the mineral world. Take into account that these amazing specimens have been mined for multiple decades at this point, and they are still the standard for the species. They are truly remarkable, as nothing can rival their superior color and quality. Fine specimens are still highly valued on the market today, and it's easy to see why. This is a wonderful toenail sized specimen of this classic material featuring excellent, sharp, well-formed, tabular hexagonal crystals with that classic red color, free of matrix. The front of the piece shows smooth, well-formed faces, while the sides show contrasting skeletal/hoppered growth. I can't find any damage of note on the front display side. The lovely red hue, size and excellent form of the crystals is wonderful for the material.
