Brilliant color and luster highlight this striking Vanadinite from Mibladen from 1980s finds, one of the world's premier localities for the species. Very good translucence - gemmy along the edges, coupled with an almost mirror-like luster, helps create a virtual orange-red explosion of color. The hexagonal and tabular habit is absolutely classic, and from one angle a grouping of Vanadinites cluster in such a way as to resemble one of the compound mirrors in some modern telescopes. Very complex and mesmerizing in person! This small-cabinet specimen has a dramatic and appealing aesthetic that shows exactly why these Mibladen Vanadinites are so admired and coveted.
