Item Description
Striking cogwheel form to some of these densely integrown, stout, tabular, textbook hexagonal vanadinite crystals on this sculptural small cabinet cluster from the famous deposits at Mibladen. The highly lustrous, variable brick-red crystals are translucent to gemmy and have striking areas of yellow-orange fire under bright light. The prisms are up to 1.8 cm across. Complete all-around. Some of the crystals have a preferential oxide coating typical of specimens from this particular find. Scattered minimal crystal bruising is noted. Certainly not to detraction for all the crystal density. Nearly a floater with only two small attachment points noted. An excellent example of this varietal with multiple views from easily the world's finest examples of the species. From a 2015-2016 pocket.
