Item Description

These single crystals of Vanadinite are like nothing I have seen before from anywhere, and come from a small mine in Namibia. This crystal has an asparagus-green coating and an almost velvety texture. The surface is actually variegated, so there are frosty green windows into the Vanadinite. These have been known to be coated by Descloizite or Mimetite, so this unusual color is not a surprise. The prism faces are well-defined, and the termination is keen. The broken bottom, from where is was contacted, has exposed a clear, glassy interior. Overall, it is a fine thumbnail for rarity and aesthetics (in it's own way).
