Valentinite (New Find)

Item Description

Valentinite is a moderately uncommon antimony oxide. One would usually not expect a gray metal to form such fine, starburst-like, radial clusters of yellow acicular crystals very attractively set in two vugs in the sculptural sulfide matrix. The starbursts are about 6 mm across. Acicular crystals in this radial form are uncommon from this district (near the famous Xikuangshih metallic fields deposits). From a small New Find.
