Uvite Tourmaline (floater)

Really good Uvite Tourmalines are difficult to come by, and this is a rather large and lustrous one from Brumado in Brazil. This is a near floater with only area of attachment on the back. It is incredibly lustrous with a large dark core and a a dark green, translucent, 2 mm rim. It is doubly terminated with the big, well developed termination on the top being exceptional and displaying great geometry. The prism faces are thin as in most Uvite Tourmalines, but they too are very lustrous. A great Brazilian Uvite for a single crystal in both size and shape; and it is also a floater, complete all around! It has a mass of 22.51 grams.
