Item Description
Some tourmalines are so rare, in style, that they are almost never found on the market - these red uvites are a case in point. Probably of early 1990's vintage, this is an exquisite and sculptural stacked cluster of red uvite tourmaline crystals from Brumado, Brazil. This artistic piece initiates with lustrous, red-orange, prismatic, slightly divergent crystals of uvite tourmaline that bifurcate near the top almost resembling a miniature dragon extending its head and neck. The chiseled uvite is graced by an array of several jewel-like rhombs of magnesite and a single, frosted 4 mm quartz crystal. A particularly refined miniature. This is a very rare color, and clusters particularly are uncommon! Valued $2000-plus.
