Uvite and Magnesite

Item Description

Uvite with Magnesite is a classic combination from the well-known Brazilian locality of Brumado. Usually, the Magnesite merely "accents" the Uvites, but here you have at a good, balanced specimen. One end is dominated by lustrous and rare, deep-red Uvites up to 7 mm, while the other end features a gemmy, 1.3 Magnesite rhomb with a few intergrown uvites. Note that one corner of the Magnestie appears to be contacted. This is an attractive and aesthetic specimen that well-represents these combinations from Brumado.
