Item Description
The famous Jeffrey Mine produced some of the most iconic Garnet crystals in the history of mineral collecting. The vast majority of these crystals are Grossular, but a small amount of Uvarovite came out of this giant open pit mine, and here we have a VERY rarely seen faceted stone of this material. The gem has an intense green hue (due to chromium content) even for the smaller size, and it only has very slight inclusions with a "Round Brilliant" cut. If you're a Garnet collector, or a fan of Jeffrey material, don't pass this one up, as they are virtually impossible to find on the market, and now that the locality is completely closed, we'll never see them again.
