Item Description

A cool piece of black Uraninite, pale yellow Uranophane and beige-tan "Gummite" which is classified now as a mixture of Boltwoodite, Clarkeite, Curite, Kasolite, Soddyite, Uraninite and Uranophane, but was a valid species at one point in time. The piece comes from the collection of Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl, the man for whom species Aheylite was named, and comes with his collection label stating that it was a gift from J. W. Adams in 1984 and originally came from noted micromounter and mineral collector L. N. Yedlin (Neal Yedlin) in 1940!
