Quite simply, a stunning and world class thumbnail of the species from the definitive find of crystals, a famous discovery well written about in the literature. Many people consider them best of species, and this is a fine cluster obtained directly from the discoverer. Information on the Swamp #1 mine was given to me in Tucson by Cliff’s wife on February 12, 2011, that included this statement on the specimen I had acquired from him as a “first rank for uraninite crystals.” Specimens like this should be valued at $2000 and up. Please do note, as the name indicates, this is radioactive (although small enough to not be an issue).
