unusual yellow Fluorapophyllite and Stilbite

An impressive, large, blocky, 5.8 x 4.8 x 3.8, color-zoned apophyllite dramatically dominates this sculptural large combination from recent finds in Jalgaon. Yellow apophyllite is so rare, 1000 times more rare than the green variety we see all the time - and this is just a beauty! The large and two smaller, tetragonal, glassy, translucent apophyllites have yellow-green cores sandwiched between colorless terminations with interesting modified corners. The apophyllites are aesthetically set amidst contrasting, pearlescent, light salmon-pink, bladed stilbite crystals. In great shape overall. The large cube, small adjacent apophyllite and the numerous stilbites are pristine. Periphery wear to the left side of the stilbites and bruising to the outer corner of the second apophyllite are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions. Jalgaon continually amazes with the exceptional quality of world-class Zeolite Group specimens and this is an outstanding large combination example. Valued at $1250-1500.
