Item Description
Highly unusual, acutely modified, elongated, two-toned calcite rhombohedrons from the famous mines at Charcas. Charcas calcite is renowned for flattened, hexagonal "pokerchip" shaped rhombs. The dramatic, well-placed, 4.7 cm, glassy crystal has a transparent body with a milky-white translucent termination. All of the smaller complete calcites have the same exotic form and two-toned coloration. The three large crystals are pristine. An outstanding and rare style older calcite from the 1960s or 70s from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Bright neon-pink fluorescence.
