Item Description
A fascinating and colorful bi-colored dravite crystal from an obscure locale near the famous tanzanite deposits in the Merelani Hills. The lustrous, striated, partially translucent tabular prism has a unique rich golden-brown rootbeer hue with an interesting shimmer. The striking primary modified and etched pyramidal termination is a glassy mint-green. Technically doubly terminated, the broken base is rehealed and has more mint-green dravite. The locale is known for producing dravite crystals in a wide variety of colors. A very choice, uncommon and prisitine bi-colored doubly terminated example from the locale. Recent, strange find! 37 grams
