Item Description
A dramatic, tectonically curved, juicy tourmaline is jauntily perched on the edge of a radial spray of cleavelandite blades on this very nifty combination from this famed locale. The 3.6 cm, very glassy, well-striated crystal has vivid pink color. The termination is contacted with embedded matrix, but there is no damage, per se. Part of the termination and sides next to the tourmaline may have rare for the locale, worm-like and botryoidal cookeite. Older material, probably from the 1960s or 70s. A striking and most unusual combination from the George Elling Collection.
