Item Description

A highly unusal topaz from this obscure Teofilo Otoni locale and the Matioli Collection. This is a section of a large, rounded, river-worn, colorless, gem topaz crystal. The frosted faces obscures the interior, but the broken base reveals the fine clarity of the crystal. Complete all-around, part of the out-of-sight back side is bruised. A rare, highly representative topaz style as a specimen or could be used as gem rough. 369 grams mass.
