Unusual Shattuckite "ball" (2014 find)

A rare Shattuckite "ball" from the limited 2014 find at the Tantara Mine. All of the other specimens we received in our small lot were spherical crusts and not a well-formed ball, like this. The nubby 2-generation powder-blue crust encloses the beautiful cornflower-blue shattuckite interior. The contacts, especially the circular hole on one end add a surprising sculptural element to this unusually formed rarity. Valued by the former dealer at $500.
