Item Description

This highly unusual layered, hexagonal and tapered quartz crystal looks man made! The weird layered form is thought to occur because of multiple growth inhibition by calcite. The calcite later dissoloved away and the crystal continued to grow. These are certainly some of the most unusual quartz specimens, that have come from the famed deposits at Dal'negorsk.
