Item Description

The bizarre layered form of this water-clear, hexagonal quartz crystal is thought to occur because of multiple growth inhibition by calcite. The calcite later dissoloved away and the crystal continued to grow. It looks man-made! These are certainly some of the most unusual quartz specimens, that have come from the famed deposits at Dal'negorsk. Outstanding and uncommon quartz from the Richard Hauck Collection.
