Item Description

A bizarre and most unusually-shaped quartz crystal from the famous Bor Quarry at Dalnegorsk, Russia. These crystals are unique to the Bor Quarry. Quartz crystal growth was interrupted by calcite, as evidenced by stacked, poker chip-looking sections in the middle of the crystals. Quartz dissolved and replaced the calcite and the crystal continued to grow to the terminations. This unique 360-degree piece is complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only bit of brusing to the very strange for quartz, chisel termination. This appears to be a contact from another crystal. The coatings appear to be green hedenbergite. Rare and unique material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
