Unusual large tabular Quartz

Tabular quartz specimens are RARE and highly unusual from the famous deposits around Hot Springs. A striking, 12.0 x 9.8 x 1.9 cm, parallel-growth tabular cluster of jagged, sharply terminated crystals with water-clear terminations dominates this sculptural and impressive large specimen. The large quartz on the right is doubly terminated and the tabular cluster is essentially pristine all-around, except for trivial contacting on the left side. The dramatic diverging spray of normal hexagonal quartz points in front is a super complement and is highlighted by the large 10.5 cm angled crystal and the 9.3 cm doubly terminated crystal at the base. The stepped-growth faces and high lustre are classic accents. The contact on the left side is certainly a modest detraction to this significant, important, artistic and rare large Hot Springs tabular quartz specimen. Rare in this aesthetic quality and style from an old Arkansas Collection formed by one of the Coleman brothers, who owned so much property there. Valued $1500
