Unusual large DT Smoky Quartz w/ clay inclusions (Zerfass Coll.)

A surreal and most unusual large doubly terminated smoky quartz from Diamantina and the Paul Zerfass Collection # 172. The sculptural, striking sharp primary termination is dramatically enhanced by the fabulous clay inclusions that turn into a phantom in four of the six termination faces. The interesting steep double basal termination has a secondary quartz overgrowth and there is also a small phantom here. The perpendicular secondary smoky adds pizzazz. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The primary termination has only a trivial out-of-sight edge wilber. Contacting lower on the piece, where other crystals once lay is noted, but have only a bit of bruising. These have very minimal impact to the overall striking rare high quality of this large and outstanding 360-degree smoky.
