Item Description
A very weird looking and dramatic large calcite cave helectite from the famous mines at Charcas. Striking stacked intergrown columns of pearlescent, flattened, doubly terminated scalenohedrons with twisted columns form a most strange and sculptural piece. The columns resemble saweeth! A surreal 360-degree specimen with an attachment along one side and at the base. The front and back are striking, indeed! Bright red SW UV fluorescence. Choice, rare highly unsual style old-time calcite from the 1960s or 70s. Ex J.G. Dixon and Tom Wolfe Collections.
