Unusual large Aquamarine ex Obodda

A dramatic and bizarre looking large aquamarine crystal from the Shigar Valley and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The tapered, flat-topped, etched crystal looks like an icicle! It is also slightly curved! Two natural breaks have rehealed, giving the crystal a striking stair-stepped look. The glassy crystal has fine blue color, is translucent to transparent and has waxy luster. The crystal retains highly modified hexagonal form and the pinacoidal termination really adds pizzazz. Complete all-around and essentialy pristine, with only a trivial bit of termintion edge wear noted. Contacting at the base, mostly on the back, has very little actual damage. Mass is 271 grams. We value this unique style of large aquamarine at $2000.
