Item Description

An aesthetic and most unusually-shaped intergrown pair of water-clear, colorless quartz crystals from the famous Bor Quarry at Dalnegorsk, Russia. These crystals are unique to the Bor Quarry. Quartz crystal growth was interrupted by calcite, as evidenced by stacked, poker chip-looking sections in the middle of the crystals. Quartz dissolved and replaced the calcite and the crystal continued to grow to the termination. This unique piece is complete all-around and the two crystals are pristine. Tiny sparkly apophyllites are peppered on one side. The best of these came out, as did this one, in the 1990s
