Item Description

A highly unusual, sculptural and rare cluster of colorless goshenite beryl crystals from the Erongo Mountains. The two larger crystals dramatically rest atop a stacked cluster of skewed crystals. The impressive large hexagonal crystal, at 3.1 cm, has a 1.5 cm limpid upper section with a tinted section below. Very interestingly, the faces of the smaller crystals on one of the piece (not the large crystal) are coated. Strange chemistry here. The pristine large crystal has a complex pinacoidal termination with an unusual alteration area on one side. A fascinating and rare style of goshenite beryl from the Erongos.
