Item Description

Ron Coleman, owner of the well-known Arkansas quartz mine, assembled a personal collection of very interesting quartz singles and floaters over the years. This is a unique pristine large floater example with lots going on! The primary 8.7 cm limpid gem crystal with the striking angled termination has several generations of quartz crystals embedded on the back. Rotating the piece reveals the surreal visual effects of seeing the embedded crystals on the back through the water-clear crystal. Two more singular features are noted with the crystals at the base. A 4.1 cm doubly terminated equant Hexagonal quartz crystal is dramatically set next to a 4.5 cm doubly terminated tapered Tabular quartz crystal! I bought this collection over a decade ago and lost a few flats in the warehouse until recently. A unique and amazingly showy 360-degree floater quartz specimen from the collection and mine.
