Unusual etched Heliodor (RARE & rare locale) Matioli Coll.

Item Description

A surreal and fantastically etched gem heliodor from this obscure pegmatite in the Mimoso do Sul area. The very glassy, tabular, limpid crystal has very pretty yellow-green color and amazing bulges on the edges. Portions of some faces appear to be totally unetched, and have textbook hexagonal form. This is pristine, possibly unique floater beryl crystal from this locale. Specimens of ANY species are RARE from here and MINDAT mentions only aquamarine beryl from this claim. Ex Matiola Collection. 23 grams mass. Value? We feel $1250-1500 is not unreasonable for such a unique beryl.
