Item Description
A fantastically different looking calcite specimen from this well-known locale, famous for amber calcite twins. Two striking, color-zoned, pseudo-octahedral, barrel-shaped, tapered, calcite crystals are aesthetically set on a bed of smaller, glassy, complex calcite rhombs. The impressive large crystal is 3.8 cm long. These two doubly terminated crystals have colorless, etched/frosted pinacoidal terminations with highly unusual straw-yellow, iron oxide-tinted, interior mid-sections! These two crystals are pristine. RARE calcite from this locale from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The termination areas fluoresce pink on the barrel-shaped crystals, as do the smaller calcites. Fascinating and rare style calcite. Value??
