Item Description

A sparkling, tight cluster of small but beautiful garnet crystals from the classic, now closed, Jeffrey Mine in Quebec! This is a nice large thumbnail or small miniature sized specimen, and is noteworthy exactly because it is colorless. White garnet from here is very uncommon, as most are shades of pink, orange, brown, etc. The true colorless white garnets like you see here, were few and far between, so this is actually a really interesting piece for garnet collectors. Donated by Quebul Minerals, to support the Mineralogical Record. Valued $200-300.
