unusual Canadian Calcite twin on Quartz (Nowakowski Coll.)

Item Description

Twinned calcites and excellent quartz crystals are well-known from this Ontario locale. A striking, 4.3 cm, sharp, complex twinned calcite rhomb and a dense field of smaller calcite have overgrown two water-clear quartz points. The unusual pristine calcite twin is multi-colored and has preferential water-clear and frosted faces. The terminated quartz crystal is 5.0 cm long.
