Item Description

A most unusual and rare calcite "ball" from this famous Illinois fluorite mine. The equant sphere is composed of densely intergrown moderately lustrous, ivory-colored flattened calcite rhombs. The striking, etched, coated feature on the back adds real pizzazz to this rare 360-degree calcite. Pristine. The single attachment is at the base of the piece. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 0420 and mined in January, 1990.
