An unusual and showy old-time calcite from the Tri-State District and the George Feist Collection # 2777. A sharp, lustrous and translucent, rich golden-yellow, "Mercedes star" rhomb is wreathed in an unusual nubby second generation of the same variety of calcite. Fascinating and rare-style calcite from this historic district. Valued at $300.
