Item Description
A highly unusual and colorful, bi-colored, doubly terminated floater tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. The termination on the vivid "Himalaya pink" end is densely etched and has a striking "cityscape look". The middle section of this lustrous and densely striated crystal is a pleasing, gemmy, apple-green. The pink basal pincoidal termination and part of the prism faces are coated with pocket feldspar, with striking effect. Most strange! This termination appears to be covered with cake frosting! Complete all-around and nearly pristine. One corner of the coated termination is chipped. This remains one of the most unusual and striking looking Himalaya tourmalines you will see. 122 grams. Ex Hubert de Monmonier & University of Arizona Museum Collections (definitely an older piece).
