Item Description
A very pretty and highly unusual bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine and the Robert Whitmore Collection. Most of this pencil tourmaline is the classic, gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous, "Himalaya pink". A very distinct compositional change occurred at the base, as the crystal is colorless and tranlucent. Strange, but nifty. Old material from the 60s or 70s, or earlier, as the piece has a Whitmore number of 22. 3 grams.
