Item Description
A surreal, most sculptural and fascinating large old-time combination from this renowned locale. Sparkling, glassy, gray-white to light pastel-pink smithsonite rhombs are festooned on all sides of the bizarre-looking large wavy-looking, curved, fluted mass of pseudo-stalactitic galena. Many small twinned and simple cerussite crystals are scattered about. This is a striking large rare style, 360-degree combination piece from the Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased in 1990. Old material from the Upper Oxidized Zone. Ex Paul Patchick Collection and obtained in a trade with John Patrick circa 1960, according to Bob's label (they were two of the most noted California collectors of the mid 1950s and 1960s). Hefty ore at 997 grams or 2.2 pounds mass. Value of such a unique Tsumeb combination??? We think this is a special one! Never seen the like...$1500-2500
