Item Description
Ulexite is one of the rare oddball, beautiful species that were found at the borate deposits in California. A hydrated borate, it is also called "TV rock" for its unusual fiber-optic-like optical properties. This solid vein specimen of prismatic crystals has high luster and a pearlescent, white color. The ends are contact terminations from coming into contact with the pocket walls. Very fine for the species and very rare as a specimen, instead of simply as cleavage masses! Ex Jim Minette specimen and collected in the 1960s and 70s.
