Item Description

A rarity from the famous Borax Pit (Boron Pit) featuring fibrous white Ulexite that has formed a pseudomorph after Tincalconite after preexisting Borax. This piece started out a single crystal of Borax which altered to Tincalconite over time, and after it was finished, was later pseudomorphed by Ulexite The multi-generational replacement is certainly rare and attractive from this well-known locality, and the piece still retains excellent euhedral form of the original Borax crystal. An excellent overall specimen for any fan of pseudomorphs or minerals from Boron. Valued at $850. From the noted pseudomorph collection of Dr. Wouter van Tichelen of Belgium.
