Item Description

A very rare and excellent combination piece from this extinct borate mine. Sculptural interconnected tufts of SOFT to firm, silky, snow-white, ulexite needles rest on an undulating field of sparkly, translucent, smoky-gray, colemanite crystals. This is a rarer form of ulexite, than the blocky style, called "TV rock" for its fiber-optic-like optical properties. Self-collected by Al Ordway 1973, while with Jim Minette, Rock Currier and Demetrius Pohl. Illustrious company!
