Item Description

Tyrolite is a rare hydrated calcium copper hydroxyl arsenate carbonate with a gorgeous blue-green color. This piece is from the Vojtechova osada locality in Slovakia, which was the source of some very fine examples of Tyrolite over the year. The display face of this small cabinet specimen is covered with attractive platy crystals of lustrous, rich blue green Tyrolite associated with green Cornwallite. A good overall specimen of this hard to find material. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased.
