Item Description
Rare older, bi-colored botryoidal smithsonite from this essentially mined out locale from the James Zigras Mexico Collection. Juicy, translucent, rare tangerine-orange banded smithsonite covers the underlying layers of very pretty lavender smithsonite. This famous locale was documented in a 2011 Mexico Mineralogical Record Special Issue and undoubtably dates to the 1960s or 70s. Pristine, except for the periphery wear, which is certainly acceptable. Very choice and colorful material.
