Smoky quartz gwindels are EXTREMELY RARE from any Pakistan locality. This very glassy, twisted gwindel from the Hunza Vallley rivals top-flight Swiss pieces in form, water-clear clarity and color. Gem-clear, with fine light smoky color, one prism face is preferentially frosted and the crystal is nicely set on quartz crystal matrix. Compete all-around, it is displayable from both sides. A bit of scattered very modest edge wear is noted and has trivial impact on this importance of this very fine rarity - the only such we have seen from Pakistan. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and comes with an older label dating it from the 1990s trips he made there. Value???
