Item Description

Both galena crystals and fluorite are staples from this mine but rarely occur in nice combination! This is a balanced and pretty specimen of the famous intense blue color the mine is famous for. This is just so beautiful when place the galena in a right angle, it has a highly lustrous, stunning layered striation, associated with classic "Blanchard Blue" fluorite crystals. The main fluorite crystal is a large twin, backlighting reveals a nice surprise that it is very translucent. Please note, these fade in sunlight, and should not be exposed therefore in collections in sunlit rooms. Ex: Jingnan (Tom) Zhang Coll.
