Twinned Epidote xl (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

A very fine, sharply terminated epidote crystal from this well-known locale. Striking veinlets and areas of bright, light olive-green translucence really liven up this striking highly lustrous, twinned crystal. Complete all-around. A ding on one side, near the termination is noted and can be minimized by the display view. The small ding at the top of the termination is dramatic, as it actually enhances the crystal twinning plane! Older material. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and was probably collected by Herman Prins in 1964, according to his label. Classic and excellent California epidote.
