Item Description

These striking trigonal calcites came out for a short time 5-7 years ago and certainly remain one of most interesting Chinese calcite forms. All three lustrous, transparent to translucent crystals are unusually twinned and are strikingly included with rust-red hematite. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The bit of periphery on the lower left is noted and the frontal calcite has only the most trivial of bruising to the tip. Very fine and uncommon material in this large size from this find. Valued at $750-900.
