Item Description

A striking and unusual looking, 4.0 cm, lustrous and translucent, compound, twinned calcite rhomb is jauntily perched atop matrix covered with sparkly chlorite from this well-known quarry. The bit of iron oxide tinting to the calcite adds pazzazz. The calcite is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with just a bit of scuffing on the front and back. Uncommon and excellent in this form and quality. Ex Schlichter Collection.
