Item Description
A rarely seen specimen of Tuscanite and Liottite (with Phlogopite) from Case Collina, which is the type locality for both Tuscanite and Liottite. This piece features small white / colorless crystals of Tuscanite and Liottite with associated blackish Phlogopite Mica. The piece is best seen under magnification, but to have a specimen with two species from the type locality is rare in the mineral world. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8797). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
