Turquoise (rare locality)

A notably hard to find locality specimen from the old Little Blue Bell Mine in New Mexico. According to cerrillosturquoise.com, this mine operated from 1895 to 1912, and was only recently mined again for new material (see https://www.cerrillosturquoise.com/little-blue-bell-mine for more info). This locality is obviously obscure, as it's not even listed in the database on mindat.org. It's the only specimen we've ever had to offer from this locality and it features a wonderful brightly colored section of polished Turquoise with a bit of attached matrix on each side. If you collect Turquoise, or minerals from New Mexico, this is something that is rarely seen for sale on the market, so don't miss out. From the collection of Richard ("Dick") Philip Hauck formerly of Bloomfield, New Jersey and now a resident of Franklin, New Jersey. Dick is an avid collector of minerals, books, and mining memorabilia, along with being an accomplished author in the mineral world. Arguably, his greatest claim to fame is being the co-founder of the Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, NJ. Dick purchased the land on which the Sterling Hill Mine resides in 1988, and the museum has been running strong since.
