Item Description
An attractive and very well-formed example of the eye-catching and hard to find pseudomorphs of Turquoise replacing Fluorapatite from Sonora. This particular specimen is impressive for the simple fact that the original crystal faces of the preexisting Apatite are still fairly sharp and well-preserved, as opposed to most of the pseudomorphs which are often rounded and nondescript. The gorgeous bright sky blue color immediately grabs one's attention, and it's not often that you see a phosphate species replace another phosphate like this, so these are prized by collectors for their uniqueness and beauty. The piece is in good condition on all sides, with no major damage, save the base where it was clearly detached from the pocket. A must have for ANY pseudomorph collector!
